Player Evaluations

2025 Player Evaluations

Returning Majors players, whether they are staying with the same team or not, must attend a minimum of one evaluation session for their age group, unless their absence has been excused and approved by the Player Agent.

All other players being evaluated for Majors, AAA, or Farm/89ers must attend a minimum of one evaluation.
Before your child takes the field for the player evaluation, they MUST be registered with Everett Little League. Click HERE to register.
All players who attend player evaluations will be placed on a team. No players are "cut."

Dress the players warmly and in layers!   Numbers will be provided to be safety-pinned on the backside of their outer layer of clothing.
PLAYER TIP! To help your sweatshirt-wearing player get noticed, be sure to pin their number lower on their back so their hood doesn't cover it!

Reminder: The age groups are based on LEAGUE AGE. You can determine your child's league age by checking the charts below.

FAQ:

Q: What if my child is injured or too ill to attend the player evaluation session?

A: Please contact [email protected] & [email protected]

Q: What if my softball player can't make their specific age group evaluation time?

A: Please contact [email protected] and [email protected] as soon as possible, so we can adjust the schedule if we need to.

Q: Can Spectators watch on the field?

A: If you would like to stay and watch the evaluation, we ask that you stay on the bleachers and not interact with your player as they are moving from station to station.
If you do stay to watch we ask you to refrain from coaching your kid(s) from the bleachers.

Q: How many player evaluation sessions should my child attend?

A: All players must attend at least one session, unless excused by the Player Agent. Reach out to Michael King at [email protected] should you have a conflict.
Players who do not attend an evaluation session will become a hat pick in the draft for the Majors, AAA, and Farm Divisions

Q: What is the format?

A: There will be ground ball, fly ball, hitting, and base running.
We will have a special session on Saturday for any kids who would like to show their pitching and catching skills.

Q: What is the "Pitchers & Catchers" session?

A: For the first time this year, we are holding an hour of time for players of any age to come out and show our coaches your pitching and catching skills. This is NOT required of anyone, it is purely optional.
Pitchers will have a chance to throw 5-10 pitches in one of the bullpens at Phil Johnson.
Catchers will have a chance to catch kids pitching, or potentially coaches pitching to them.
Attending this session DOES NOT count towards your required attendance at Evaluations - you MUST still attend AT LEAST ONE session for your age group.
